One of the traditional Judaic manifestations of "Blotting out the existence of Haman" is accomplished by writing his name on the shoe sole and erasing his presence. The modern form of the traditional custom, according to Avi Biran, is writing the name of Haman with pencil on paper and erasing it by the act of stamping using rubber earasers build out letters stating the verse: "...I will utterly blot out..." (Exodus 17:14). Furthering the artist metaphor ogf protest against bureaucracy, one should take example from the Mitvah, and erase the injustice of bureaucracy. Inside the body of the grogger are 10 pieces of silver, symbolizing the 10 evil sons of Haman, highlighting and adding further noise.
