TZEDAKAH BOX WITH KAPARAH (ATONEMENT) FOWL IN MIND
(Charity-Alms Box)

"This is offered in exchange for me; this is my ransom; this is my atonement. This money will go to charity and I shall find a long pleasant life of peace."

Tzedakah box used for specific Kaparot ritual on Yom Kipur (Day of Atonement). The traditional text of the blessing is engraved on the belt. A combination of modern custom of using money for charity instead of the old messy act of slaughtering a fowl. The functionalism of design enables the box to be opened by spring action hidden in the wings. Money is dropped through a hole beside the fowl's comb.

Sterling Silver, Semi precious stones, 4.5" x 5" x 7"

Limited addition of 100 - $2,000
